Changes to the Finance & Leasing Association (FLA)'s Lending Code came into effect in January 2023, making it a requirement for FLA members to deal only with SAF-accredited Leasing Brokers and National Franchised Dealerships. According to the FLA's Lending Code, all customer-facing staff selling and advising on consumer vehicle finance must be competent and evidence their competence on an annual basis.
