Forum focuses on Commissions and Consumer Duty

Commissions, Consumer Duty and Co-manufacturers dominated the agenda of the first BVRLA Compliance Forum of 2024. Taking place at the Shoosmiths offices in Birmingham on 18 April, the Forum welcomed around 60 guests for a lively exchange on compliance matters, injecting fresh perspectives and forging connections.

The forum saw speakers from Shoosmiths, Product Partnerships Ltd, DWF Law, the BVRLA, the Finance & Leasing Association (FLA), LeasePlan and Novuna cover topics such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)’s review on Discretionary Commission Arrangements, Consumer Duty, Salary Sacrifice and Co-Manufacturers.

Bringing the half-day event to a close, BVRLA Director of Legal and Membership, Shashi Maharaj said: ““In the heat of scrutiny, are your processes, practices and papers up to scratch? Transparency, clarity and outcomes must be front of mind.”

Members who are not already subscribed can do so and be part of this informative event. There are two Compliance Forums remaining for the year- 18 July 2024 at the offices of DWF Law in London and another in November 2024, venue TBC.

Those who attended are urged to complete the feedback form and look out for the slide deck which will be shared with them.
