It is now 19 days until the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)’s Consumer Duty rules for open products and services come into play. After 31 July 2023, the new Duty comes into effect and the FCA will sanction firms that do not comply.
The BVRLA’s suite of guidance can be found on the BVRLA website - including webinars, factsheets and checklists.
It’s not too late to ask the BVRLA for help. The dedicated [email protected] inbox can be used to contact the team.
There will be a Consumer Duty panel as part of the next Compliance Forum, taking place online net Thursday (20 July). Guest speakers from HM Treasury, Novuna, DWF Law, Inchcape and FLA will be looking at the challenges that remain and how to live with the Duty once the deadline has passed.
In addition to the Compliance Forum programme and free-to-member resources, the BVRLA has also developed a comprehensive training offer for Consumer Duty. Find out more.
