Throughout the year, the association gathers industry experts, and practitioners from across its membership to encourage discussion and debate, while sharing insights and best practice at its Forums.

The February TOM Forum agenda includes:

  • EV Body Repairs with Thomas Hudd, National Technical Manager at the National Body Repair Association (NBRA)

  • EVs - why the right tyre is important with Steve Howat, General Manager - Technical Services at Continental Tyre Group Ltd

  • A look at key aftermarket trends with Karen Ewer, Head of Business Development at Fleet Assist and David Gerrans, Commercial Director and Matthew Tumbridge, Chief Operating Officer at MotorEasy.

The RVR Forum (Residual Value and Remarketing) will take place on 10 February and will cover:

  • Market overview from the auctions. Views on online vs physical and thoughts on disruptors to the market with Philip Nothard of Cox Automotive and Chairman of the Vehicle Remarketing Association

  • Future business strategies and potential disruptors in 2022: view from the auctions, with Becca Chaplin, Contributing Editor at Car Dealer Magazine

  • Motor Industry Post Brexit with Professor David Bailey, Professor of Business Economics at the University of Birmingham.

During 2022 there will be three TOM Forums and three RVR Forums; members can send up to two delegates to either one by paying an annual subscription of £500+VAT. It is intended that Forums later in the year will be held in-person rather than online, Covid restrictions permitting.
