The focus of the BVRLA’s programme of Forums is to bring subject matter experts together to discuss the key issues, trends and opportunities that are dominating the landscapes in which members operate.

Responsible for over 4.3 million vehicles on UK roads, BVRLA members need to fully understand trends in vehicle values and managing de-fleeting strategies.

Equipping attendees with insights on how the Zero Emission Vehicle Mandate is impacting the sector, and what members can do to prepare, the Fleets in Charge Conference will begin with a session from Department for Transport senior officials, touching on the ZEV Mandate, legislation and policy concerns.

The companies responsible for most new electric vehicle registrations have warned the Government that a failure to support the used market will stop the zero-emission transition in its tracks. Writing to the Transport, Environmental Audit and Business Select Committees, signatories are calling for measures that support household and SME access to electric vehicles, and mitigate the volatile residual values denting market confidence.

The Vehicle and Fleet Management and the Residual Value and Remarketing Forums marked their 2024 conclusions over the past two weeks, drawing more than 110 delegates across the two events.

This Christmas, the BVRLA is spreading some festive cheer alongside a message to MPs about the importance of supporting the used EV market. The association is sending out Christmas cards designed to promote the #happyEVafter campaign to MPs, and needs members’ help to make the cards impactful.

The upcoming Residual Value and Remarketing (RVR) Forum is set to explore the evolving market for cars and vans, with a focus on economic trends, future values, and the impact of new regulations.

The BVRLA’s annual programmes of specialist industry forums conclude in the coming weeks, with limited spaces available to members that don’t currently subscribe to the full calendar of events.

The last of the 2024 series of the BVRLA’s Vehicle and Fleet Management (VFM) Forum is taking place on Thursday 14 November, hosted by Epyx in Meriden.
