Predictions for next year and the ‘strong’ performance of the van sector in 2025 underpinned the discussion at the final Residual Value and Remarketing (RVR) Forum of the year.
Taking place at Autotrader in Hemel Hempstead, the packed agenda featured Matthew Davock of Manheim UK giving a commercial vehicle update, sharing data-driven insights to show how the van sector is on “a very different journey to the car journey.”
In addition, Rachael Jones from Autotrader gave a consumer perspective on EVs before Lorna Pringle from the Bank of England discussed inflation trends, spending habits, employment and the impact a late November budget is having on businesses. Dylan Setterfield of cap hpi presented on future car market outlook, the ZEV Mandate and 2026 predictions.
A review of the UK automotive market was delivered by James Standing of Autotrader, looking at the latest on car buyer behaviour and how the Electric Car Grant has impacted EV demand. Rupert Pontin of Brego gave used car market insights including EV sales volumes, average used EV price and average days to sale.
