Vehicle markets: Change and Challenge

Last week, sixty members joined speakers from Autotrader, Autorola and Automotive Services International to discuss the new and used vehicle markets at the BVRLA’s Residual Value and Remarketing (RVR) Forum.

Unpredictable. Competitive. Intriguing. Changing. Stable. They were just some of the words used by delegates of the RVR Forum to describe the current state of the market. An in-depth look at consumer buyer behaviour from Autotrader showed how the customer journey is evolving, with most reviewing several brands, across new and used vehicles before deciding. There was also had a lively panel session getting the views of Mel Butcher from Xpeng, Derren Martin from Black and Gold Consulting and Paul Harrison from Leasing.com.

The Forum was kindly hosted by International Motors the home of GWM, Subaru, XPENG and Isuzu in Solihull.

One delegate’s feedback was: “A really insightful morning, looking at the different markets that are affecting the RVs currently especially for the hot topic of BEV.”

The next Forum will be on Thursday 13 November at Autotrader in Hemel Hempstead. Places can be reserved: BVRLA Event booking: RVR Forum.
