With just over a month to go until the BVRLA’s Leasing Broker Conference returns, the full agenda has been confirmed, covering a breadth of topics.

Chair of the association’s Leasing Broker committee, Paul Parkinson will open proceedings with the latest sector stats to set the scene for the day ahead. After Paul, a panel of experts will look at the issue front and centre of everybody’s minds, Consumer Duty. Ahead of the new Duty coming into force from 31 July this year, the panel will share advice in bite-sized chunks for brokers to put into immediate practice.

Keynote speaker Brian Hilliard was confirmed last week. A popular inclusion on the 2022 agenda, Brian will again present the UK’s financial health and the likely trends to be mindful of in the coming months.

Chaired by Paul Parkinson, another returning slot is the Industry Outlook panel. It will bring together leading voices from across the leasing broker landscape, including funders, to take a deeper look at the current trends and what opportunities may arise through the remainder of 2023.

Closing the formal agenda will be a keynote speech from David Hieatt, an entrepreneur whose expertise lies in creativity, fashion, business and teamwork. David will draw from his experiences to talk about ‘brands with a purpose… why they do better and matter more’, drawing parallels with the challenges faced by leasing brokers and offering fresh solutions to overcome them.

Tickets for the 2023 conference are free to BVRLA leasing broker members. They must be reserved in advance via the event website. This year’s conference is taking placed in central Birmingham on Wednesday 21 June and is supported by DAVIS, Fleet Procure, Hypervolt, Leasing.com, Leasys, Motor Complete and QV Systems.
