More models cleared for Electric Car Grant

The Department for Transport (DfT) has confirmed five more models that are eligible for the Electric Car Grant, with all qualifying for the band 2 discount of £1,500.

The latest additions are Cupra Born, Volkswagen ID.3, Peugeot e-208, Peugeot e-2008 and Peugeot e-Rifter.

Models across Citroen, Nissan, Renault, and Vauxhall have met the required criteria, which considers the vehicle’s list price alongside the sustainability credentials of its manufacturing process. Information on the models already confirmed: First vehicles confirmed for Electric Car Grant.

The Electric Car Grant is available for approved vehicles with a list price under £37,000. There are two tiers to the Grant, the lower-rate £1,500 applied to confirmed vehicles to date, plus a higher-rate of £3,750 for those meeting stricter requirements.
