Terrorist attack highlights need for robust rental vehicle security

While last week’s tragic event in Manchester was not rental vehicle related, this was still an act of terrorism.

Since 2020, the Government has enlisted the BVRLA as an approved partner to monitor and assess compliance against its Rental Vehicle Security Scheme (RVSS). Participating in the UK’s RVSS forms part of the BVRLA Code of Conduct for rental and commercial vehicle members. The RVSS requires firms to meet a 10-point Code of Practice.
