Free webinar: New rules on motor finance forbearance

New FCA guidance on motor finance forbearance comes into effect tomorrow (25 November) and the BVRLA is hosting a free webinar to help members stay abreast of their responsibilities.

This will no longer be a live webinar but will be made available as a video instead that members can watch in their own time. The video will be published shortly - more information on this to follow.

The webinar features Jo Davis from Auxillias, who will explain the latest guidance and join a short Q&A with the BVRLA’s Director of Fleet Services, Amanda Brandon.

The guidance applies in the exceptional circumstances arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the financial situation of consumer credit customers.

“The FCA’s latest guidance on forbearance is the most complex yet and has lots of potential implications for anyone offering regulated personal motor finance,” said Brandon.

“We hope this webinar will offer members some timely advice and key tips on how they can stay on top of this fast-moving forbearance environment.”

Members are also advised to visit the BVRLA’s webinars page to find out about two other free digital events that are coming up in December. On Tuesday 8th, an Asset Management webinar will include presentations on insurance and fraud trends and the latest security updates. On Thursday 10th, the BVRLA’s last Industry Outlook webinar of 2021 will see our panel of rental, leasing and fleet management experts assess the state of the market as we approach the end of a very challenging year...
