As part of a programme of activity and resources to help members navigate this shift, the BVRLA will be hosting a What is Consumer Duty? webinar on 11 August. There, a selection of experts will unpack the recent FCA Consumer Duty guidance and provide firms with the information they need to begin implementation of the Duty.

This free, member-only webinar will answer:

  • What is Consumer Duty?
  • Why is it important to your firm?
  • What steps are needed to stay compliant?

The first session of the webinar will come from Jo Davis, Director of Auxillias and the BVRLA’s Legal and Membership Director, Shashi Maharaj. That overview will be followed by a panel discussion on the new Consumer Duty and how it will impact the personal finance market.

Panellists include Peter Tutton, Head of Policy at Step Change, Adrian Dally, Director of Motor Finance and Strategy at the Finance & Leasing Association (FLA), Chris Sinclair, Chief Compliance Officer at BMW Financial Services and Paul Parkinson, Chief Executive and Founder at Synergy Car Leasing.

The webinar will take place on Thursday 11 August between 9.00 and 10.00. Those who have registered will receive a recording after the event.
