The BVRLA attended the London Mayor, Sadiq Khan's workshop on 1 May to hear plans for the delivery of the implementation of an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
The workshop gave an indication as to what the Mayor will focus on and covers a series of enablers to drive infrastructure forward. These include more support for fleet depot charging that could also be used by businesses to charge EVs; a pan-London coordination body to help guide requests for charge point infrastructure and information provision; and virtual rapid charging hubs in key sub-regions of London.
The strategy is expected to be published in June 2019.
