Leasing Broker Conference proves a hit

Over 160 BVRLA members, guests and speakers attended the association’s first ever dedicated Leasing Broker Conference in London last week.

A date for the 2020 conference has already been confirmed for Wednesday 20 May 2020 and leasing brokers are being encouraged to save the date.

Last week’s conference featured a line-up of speakers looking at compliance and business development. Members, sponsors and speakers alike have all been keen to share their positive feedback.

The keynote speaker was economics and innovation expert James Woudhuysen, who updated on the automotive industry and wider economy.

Other speakers included the Financial Conduct Authority who covered the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR), Locke Lord LLP on the key issues and takeaways from the FCA’s Motor Finance Review and the Financial Ombudsman Service, who shared insight into the service’s work and case studies of complaints.

There were also sessions on customer retention and scaling business and navigating change in an unpredictable fleet market.
