Get ready for 2026 and beyond

The BVRLA’s Industry Outlook Conference returns this December, bringing together leaders from across the rental and leasing sectors to explore what lies ahead.

This year’s agenda is packed with future-focused insight, debate, and discussion. From political and economic forecasts to deep-dive sessions on the latest operational and technological trends, attendees can expect a day full of ideas that will shape business strategy for the year to come.

The conference opens with an exclusive Outlook Panel, where senior industry figures will respond to the latest BVRLA research and tackle key questions about the road ahead.

A special session from the DVLA Chief Executive Tim Moss will follow before the morning continues with a Fiscal Future outlook. There, leading economist David Smith returns to unpack the political and economic trends shaping the UK’s business environment in 2026.

After a networking coffee break, the conference moves into a series of deep-dive breakout sessions.

  • Rental Rewired will deliver six rapid-fire discussions on the biggest operational challenges facing rental companies - from fraud and insurance to disposal and marketing - offering sharp, practical solutions for smarter operations.
  • Taking Control: How Firms Are Fighting Back Against Poor RVs (residual values) will look at how data, remarketing, and innovation are helping leasing firms tackle residual-value pressures head-on.

The afternoon turns its lens on growth and transformation.

  • Independent Insights with United Rental Group will explore how smaller and independent rental businesses can unlock new opportunities through smarter funding, innovation, and customer focus.
  • Future-Ready Tech will dive into how digital platforms, AI, and data are redefining the leasing and mobility experience.
