Last week brought scores of industry representatives and stakeholders together under a shared goal: raise awareness of the benefits offered by used electric vehicles and the challenges being faced by the market.
Led by the BVRLA and open to any individuals or companies to support, Used EV Week ran from Monday 20 October. Across the week, a programme of direct policy engagements was complemented by extensive commentary across press and social media.
Direct policy engagements explored the topics of battery health, the state of the used EV market, and energy deployment in turn. Attendance at each varied between government representatives, BVRLA members, and industry spokespeople, with each session allowing for open discussion of the challenges impacting progress and further ways in which industry and government can collaborate on solutions.
Commentary across social media and press was widespread across the week. Participating individuals and organisations shared case studies, current data and analysis, thought leadership, and support resources. Collectively, materials shone a spotlight on what is currently available in the used EV market and the benefits those vehicles can bring to more companies and households.
A host of company announcements and product launches punctuated the week, gaining interest from national, regional, and trade press.
