£12 million innovation fund for zero-emission market

UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £10 million to research and develop technologies to help secure future zero emission vehicles innovation.

A further £2 million is available to UK SMEs to support their research into zero-emission technologies.

From tomorrow, 17 June, UK businesses of any size can apply for a share of the fund. Applications close on 29 July 2020.

The funding is to be made available through the Office for Low Emission Vehicles and delivered through Innovate UK. Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has announced that the fund will be available for “ground-breaking” research into the zero-emissions market, to develop greener vehicles and improved charging technology.
