ZEV Mandate and a new era of vehicle data coming in 2024

The Government’s ZEV Mandate is set to be signed into legislation any day now, taking effect from 2024. What impact will it have on the supply of battery electric vehicles and what should BVRLA members be doing to prepare?

Many industry watchers are also predicting that 2024 will be a breakthrough year for connected vehicle data, with cheaper, more standardised access unlocking a wide array of fleet use cases. Just what is available and what should your organisation be doing with it?

The BVRLA will be exploring these two issues in a special leasing-focused breakout session at next month’s Industry Outlook Conference. The ‘Leasing Lowdown’ panel will be chaired by Ralph Morton of Morton Media and feature Lesley Stater of Athlon, Ashley Barnett of Lex Autolease, Ben Nelmes of New Automotive and Katharine Roecker of High Mobility. Lesley and Ashley will also be sharing their leasing market perspectives on the BVRLA’s 2024 Industry Outlook Survey findings.

Running in parallel will be the ‘Rental roadmap’ hosted by United Rental Group, looking at EV adoption and the impact of the ZEV Mandate on the rental sector.

The full day Industry Outlook Conference is taking place on Wednesday 6 December at the British Motor Museum, Warwickshire (CV35 0BJ). Tickets are available exclusively to BVRLA members for £270 + VAT. A special rate is available for SME members, email [email protected] to check eligibility and book.
