The FCA has recently updated their Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR) webpages for solo-regulated firms.
On the amended webpages, firms can read about converting from the Approved Persons Regime, checklists for preparing for the change and information on some of the most frequently asked questions.
The Guide to the SM&CR for solo-regulated firms document gives a useful overview of how SM&CR works. There is an on-demand webinar and firms can listen to a podcast on SM&CR and culture.
Also to help members with the implementation of the new regime is the BVRLA’s training course SM&CR: are you ready?
This half-day course will take place on 5 November in Coventry. The previous course dates were very popular, and this will be the last date before the change on 9 December.
Delegates take away from the course an example Statement of Responsibility which will be extremely beneficial going forward.
