FCA and FOS to address BVRLA Leasing Brokers

Officials from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) will address the BVRLA’s Leasing Broker Conference in May, sharing advice and expertise on matters relating to motor finance and compliance.

Free to attend, the conference is the first of its kind designed for BVRLA leasing broker members and funders.

Peter Ewing from the FCA will talk about the upcoming Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR), touching on the best approaches to supervision and how to meet the regulatory challenges it brings in.

Two experts from FOS, Sarah Conway and Mark Hollands, will look at treating customers fairly and key trends in complaints.

The motor finance section of the agenda will also cover key themes from the Motor Finance review with insight from Jo Davis of Locke Lord LLP and Jinmi Macaulay, BVRLA Policy Advisor.

The conference will be held at One Birdcage Walk, the headquarters of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, on Tuesday 21 May from 10.30am to 4pm, followed by networking and a drinks reception.

Suppliers to the industry can attend for a ticket price of £175 (+VAT).
