BVRLA Learning and Development offers a blended training approach to compliance. This combines a range of instructor-led courses and e-learning solutions that support and evidence compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority’s training and competence regime, as well as the BVRLA Code of Conduct.
The BVRLA’s Instructor-led training courses aim to raise standards and professionalism across the vehicle rental and leasing sectors.
For Leasing Broker members and those in regulated business, the BVRLA has several tailored courses with a focus on compliance. Developed in conjunction with the BVRLA Compliance Team, and aligned with the BVRLA Inspection Programme, these courses are designed to promote best practice, encourage knowledge sharing, skills acquisition and increase competence across the industry.
The instructor-led courses are run remotely and are highly interactive – using breakout rooms and collaborative tools such as polls and quizzes. Courses can also be held in an ‘in -house’ format, with just one organisation attending, and are designed for businesses with several staff they wish to train concurrently.
In addition, the BVRLA e-learning platform provides a way for members to access high-quality learning that is convenient, easy-to-use, and affordable. It enables organisations to reach learners working in separate locations and delivers consistent messaging about the standards required.
Within the Essentials package, modules such as ‘Safeguarding the Vulnerable’ and ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ ensure staff are both confident and competent on key compliance areas.
The Managers and Compliance package offers those in managerial positions a higher-level understanding on topics such as SM&CR, Fraud Prevention and Conduct Risk. It is key for those responsible for compliance in the business.
All members can request a branded portal so that they can deliver a personalised user experience for their learners. Branding is available free of charge. Access to the e-Learning content is for 365 days and completion provides learners with certificates to support the training aspect of the BVRLA Inspection Programme.
