The BVRLA Fair Wear and Tear Guide is available to members as an annual e-licence subscription, which can be customised with a member's logo and shared with customers digitally throughout the lifetime of the lease.
The association’s website analytics suggest that a high volume of members’ customers visit the BVRLA website looking for the industry standard on Fair Wear and Tear.
BVRLA Communications Manager, Andrea McMahon said: “Our Fair Wear & Tear information consistently appears as one of the most popular web pages, attracting many thousands of visits every month.
“This is not to say that members are not providing the right information to customers. It is more an indication that customers are looking to the industry body for validation. There is certainly merit in providing leasing customers with the official BVRLA Fair Wear & Tear Guide, to provide reassurance to customers.”
As well as the digital e-licence, members can also still purchase hard copy print versions.
