Government has published guidance on trialling automated vehicle technologies in public and is inviting views and comments to inform any required changes.
The guidance makes recommendations on how to maintain safety and minimise potential risks.
The additions to this code of practice provide clearer guidance on:
- conducting trials safely and responsibly
- improving transparency of trials
- engaging with the public, authorities and other relevant bodies when planning trials
