Vehicle demand examined at Fleets in Charge Conference

After two successful digital events, the BVRLA’s annual Fleets in Charge Conference is being hosted in person for the first time in London this July.

The third session of the event will focus on ‘The journey to zero emission fleets’, with three 20-minute expert panels on electric vehicle demand, EV supply and charging infrastructure. The experts confirmed for the demand panel are: 

  • Ian Plummer, Commercial Director at AutoTrader 
  • Ian Hughes, CEO Car & Van division at Zenith 
  • Edmund King, President at The AA 
  • James Court, CEO of EVA England.

An EV infrastructure panel will feature Melanie Shufflebotham, COO and co-founder of Zap Map, Andrew Kirkby, Senior Sustainability Manager at BT Openreach and Philip New, Chair of the Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce (EVET). 

The agenda also offers afternoon break-out sessions with themes of: The new normal – explaining emerging business models; Carbon Accounting and the ESG agenda; Innovation Zone – what’s next for the industry and Second life and beyond – exploring the world of used BEVs.

The event will take place at 1 Birdcage Walk in Westminster, London from 10am to 3.30pm (followed by drinks reception until 5pm) on Thursday 7 July 2022.
