Tools to help employees be more cyber secure

The Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure has issued a warning about a recent hack of Twitter accounts, which might have been the result of an internal security compromise.

Members are advised to make staff aware of the threat from social media hacks, phishing emails and other cyber security threats which seek to discredit and disrupt your organisation. The people committing these crimes use a range of tactics and techniques which are evolving all the time.

You can reduce the vulnerability of your firm by educating staff to be alert to the threat of hacks and remind themselves of the importance of following good security advice, particularly if working from home.

CPNI has produced a range of guidance and tools to enable organisations to mitigate this threat by raising awareness within their workforce, though the use of a variety of different forms of material, such as questionnaires and animations.
