The BVRLA has made parliamentarians aware of the challenges being faced by rental members who heavily rely on tourism-related custom and have been hard hit by the Covid travel restrictions.
Margaret Ferrier MP asked parliamentary questions on behalf of the sector ahead of a parliamentary debate on Support for aviation, travel and tourism.
Following the debate, the BVRLA has written to Transport Minister, Robert Courts MP, to request a meeting.
The Government has up until this point largely overlooked the rental sector when it has considered losses at airports due to travel restrictions whilst members operating at airports across the UK are experiencing a fall in revenues of up to 90%.
Any rental member who would like to get involved in the campaign is being asked to email [email protected] to get a copy of a template letter, that can be used to send to constituency MPs.
