Simon Grime has been appointed the new Rental Committee Chairman, taking the baton from Margaret Speirs from Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental, following completion of her two-year tenure.
Simon is Managing Director of London’s oldest independent car rental company, Miles & Miles, which now also has branches in Scotland, Manchester and at Heathrow Airport.
Simon, who has been on the BVRLA Rental Committee since 2017, said:
“I’m delighted to take on the role of the BVRLA’s Rental Committee Chairman at a time when the vehicle rental sector has never been in more need of the support of its trade association.
“The environmental, regulatory and societal changes impacting our sector right now are huge, and they bring about opportunities as well as challenge. Our sector prides itself on being resilient and innovative, and having the voice of small and medium-sized rental firms as well as large multinationals on the committee ensures that we are best placed to understand where our focus needs to be to protect the interests of our sector and customers.”
