Making ultra-fast charging ubiquitous

The third free Fleets in Charge webinar of 2021 is taking place on 23 June with a focus on charging infrastructure.

If the ambitious phase out targets set out by the Government are to be achieved, they must also ensure the charging network is ready for the increased demands of an electric vehicle influx.

One of the expert speakers from event partner bp Pulse, Tom Callow, Head of External Affairs, has said ahead of his presentation:

“If you’re the average UK motorist and can charge at home, switching to an electric vehicle is easy. But with an estimated 40% of UK households not having access to off-street parking, and high-mileage drivers having different needs too, I’ll look at the dynamics of the EV charging ecosystem and show how ultra-fast charging will be key to enabling mass adoption.”

Other speakers at the event will be Caroline Low CBE, Director, Environment and Future Mobility, Department for Transport, Kevin Welstead, EV Sector Director, SSE Enterprise and Catherine Bowen, Senior Policy Advisor, BVRLA.

The 60-minute webinar will begin at 9am on 23 June and anybody, including non-members, can register to attend the live event.
