The Government has published its Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy setting out how industry can decarbonise and remain competitive whilst also delivering the UK’s zero emission goals.
The 170-page Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy builds on the 10 Point Plan for a green industrial revolution published in November 2020, and sets out the Government’s vision for a prosperous, low carbon industrial sector.
It hopes to provide industry with the long-term certainty it needs to invest in decarbonisation.
The Transport Decarbonisation Plan, due out late Spring, will feed into this strategy. The BVRLA provided input to the Department for Transport, who consulted on what should be included in the Plan in September 2020.
