FCA developing new data collection system

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has started work to create a new data collection platform and members are invited to complete its online survey which will help shape thinking on the new system.

The FCA is keen to get feedback from firms that use the current system ‘Gabriel’. As well as the online survey, it will run a programme of events and activities to capture views and test the new platform.

The FCA wants to implement an easy-to-use system that is efficient for firms and can be adapted to changing needs. It recognises that moving to a new platform may initially bring additional tasks for users and will work with firms and other key stakeholders during its development.

The FCA will update on progress and publish the feedback to this survey later this year. It will then speak with stakeholders to discuss the feedback themes and plans for the data collection system.
