BVRLA publishes updated policy Position Papers

The BVRLA Position Papers outline the association’s views, objectives and engagement activity relating to key policy areas affecting the industry.

Each Position Paper provides a brief background summary of the issue and makes clear what the BVRLA is asking of policymakers on behalf of the industry.

The papers also include a summary of recent engagement activity, top five key messages and some suggestions of how members can help to support our activities as we work to protect the interests of the sectors we represent.

The one-page documents, which are updated quarterly, have now been published on the BVRLA website. There is a Position Paper on each of the association’s key policy areas; air quality, taxation, motor finance, future mobility and vehicle terrorism.

The Connected Vehicles and Data Position Paper has been renamed and developed to become the Future Mobility Position Paper.

This change reflects developments within the future transport landscape that go beyond data and technology, with much focus now turned to mobility as a service and other changes to the way we travel. The new, broader position paper includes policy asks and messaging around MaaS, electric vehicles, urban mobility, as well as data.
