Members subscribing to the BVRLA’s free-to-access RISC database will have already been informed of two alerts during the past week relating to fraudsters trying to obtain rental vehicles by deception.
The RISC database enables members to share valuable information about scams or other criminal activity that they have come across which poses a risk to their business, employees or assets.
The more members that are subscribed to the system, the better it is for everybody as sharing intelligence helps to protect all members of the BVRLA community.
National fraud authorities are reporting a big uplift in scams and fraud following the Covid19 outbreak, so the association is urging all members to register for the RISC database now, if you have not already done so.
