Webinar focuses on supply of electric vans and cars

The next webinar in the BVRLA’s popular Fleets in Charge series will focus on ‘Supplying 2030’, looking at the supply of electric vans and cars in more detail.

This free 60-minute webinar takes place at 9am on 28 April and anybody, including non-members can register to attend the live event.

A host of guest speakers will share insights, case studies and will take part in a panel discussion.

For commercial vehicle operators, the lack of available supply of suitable electric vans has been a real concern. Further hampering progress is the recent cut in the Plug-in grant, which hits the CV sector hard.

As Paul Kirby from Vanarama highlighted in the association’s previous Fleets in Charge webinar (see highlights video below): “Electric vans will qualify for a 0% van benefit charge from April this year. The 0% benefit in kind rate for company cars has provided a massive shot in the arm for electric car take up since it was introduced, and it is hoped providing greater parity in support for vans will also result in a bit of a boost to counteract in small part some of the Plug-in grant’s negative effects.”
