Rental Operator Skills accreditation goes online

Next week is the BVRLA’s first online Vehicle Rental Operator Skills assessment, and there are still places available.

The Certificate in Vehicle Rental Operator Skills, which is accredited by the BVRLA and the Institute of Motor Industry (IMI), will help current staff, those on furlough or colleagues who have been made redundant.

The association has reduced the fees across the board and is offering the online multiple-choice assessment free of charge to those who worked in the sector and have been made redundant.

The five key areas test and reinforce the candidates existing knowledge of vehicle rental operations. Whilst completing the accreditation the learner will be supported with an instructor led online refresher session prior to their multiple-choice online assessment papers. In terms of experience needed, most candidates will attain the required level of knowledge from on-the-job training after a period of six months in the industry.

Accreditation demonstrates a recognised level of knowledge, skills and understanding of best practice within the vehicle rental sector and has been designed specifically for rental agents and managers in daily rental and light commercial vehicle rental locations.
