New Factsheet: Treatment of customers in default or arrears

The BVRLA has produced a new factsheet providing members with advice about how to treat customers in default or arrears who may be experiencing an income reduction.

As restrictions are placed on people’s ability to work during the Covid-19 crisis, more lease customers than usual may find themselves in default or arrears and it is important that members handle the issue sensitively and in line with Financial Conduct Authority expectations.  

Members can access the Treatment of customers in default or arrears factsheet, which has been produced in association with legal firm and BVRLA Associate Member, Locke Lord.
