To help customers be aware of their responsibilities regarding the return condition of their HGV vehicle, the BVRLA is reminding members to share the Fair Wear & Tear Guide at the start of a contract.
The HGV guide is specifically for contact hire and lease vehicles over 3.5 tonnes.
The guide, for drivers and fleet operators of heavy goods vehicles, incorporates the BVRLA Fair Wear & Standard describing the acceptable condition of a vehicle at end of lease and information for drivers about how they can appraise the vehicle at end of lease.
