Highways England launches vehicle safety campaign

A new Highways England Safety Campaign launching on 3 April will encourage more drivers to ensure that their vehicle is roadworthy before they travel.

The campaign hopes to make drivers think about carrying out vehicle checks prior to a journey by stating ‘you wouldn’t expect a pilot to take off without running through checks, so why shouldn’t you take the same approach for an important journey?’

Drivers are being encouraged to check lights, oil, fuel, water, tyre pressure and tyre tread.

Adverts will be running on TV, Video on Demand, Radio, Outdoor, Digital Displays and Social Media from 3 April throughout the Easter Holidays.
