EU Exit business advice for members

The BVRLA has launched two new communication channels to help support members with preparedness for EU Exit as the end to the transition period draws closer.

Since 31 January 2020, the UK has no longer legally been part of the EU and negotiations have been underway to agree future terms beyond the transition period, which is due to end on 31 December.

During the transition period all trading terms and regulations have remained unchanged, however, that is all set to change from 1 January 2021, when new rules will apply.

The BVRLA has introduced a new EU Exit Bulletin, containing the latest advice to support members as new information and guidance emerges in relation to EU Exit. This is being emailed every Thursday and may increase in frequency as the Government ramps up announcements on regulatory and legislative changes.

A new dedicated EU Exit Business Advice page has also been added to the ‘Guidance’ section of the BVRLA website.

Any individual working for a BVRLA member organisation can sign up to receive the email updates, which includes the BVRLA Weekly Update, Covid-19 Bulletin and the new EU Exit Bulletin.
