Could you be a champion for the industry?

2024 is very likely to be an Election year. It is vital that the BVRLA and its members engage with politicians to ensure the key role fleets play – and the wider needs of the sector – are taken on board by those selected for the next Parliamentary term.

The BVRLA has launched its Future of Fleets Manifesto 2024 and is now working to get the sector’s message heard by decision makers. One of the best ways of engaging with MPs and candidates is through local visits to branches, depots, and company hubs. Such visits allow them to see firsthand how operations work and talk through the challenges faced by those directly involved.

To land the Manifesto across the UK, the association is asking members to become ‘Industry Champions’. The Champions will reach out to their local MPs and candidates, inviting them to take part in a site visit at a local branch or depot within their constituency.

The local link is important to MPs, especially during an election year. It is also a perfect opportunity to highlight the work of your business with your local representative too.

The BVRLA will support the Industry Champions with:

  • A welcome pack
  • An easy-to-use online tool
  • Regular point of contact
  • Support in arranging and conducting the visits.
