BVRLA webinar asks: ‘Where next for the commercial vehicle sector?’

The BVRLA’s upcoming Industry Outlook webinar - ‘A spotlight on commercial vehicles’ - will look at both the current state of the commercial vehicle market and its progress to decarbonisation.

The recently launched BVRLA Road to Zero report card gives a unique insight into the sector's decarbonisation progress. There are huge challenges that will need to be rapidly overcome for LCV and HGVs if they are to meet the Government’s ambitious decarbonisation timeline.

Information sharing will be key for the sector to reach its goals and the webinar will help members start to think about the challenges and how to address them in their business.

In the webinar, taking place on 22 September at 9am:

  • BVRLA Head of Policy & Public Affairs Thomas McLennan will chair the session and provide an update on the BVRLA’s key lobbying priorities

  • SMMT Environmental Manager Sukky Choongh will share highlights of its latest report on Commercial Vehicle Decarbonisation

  • Cap hpi Commercial Vehicle Editor Steven Botfield will give an up-to-date view of the commercial vehicle market.

This will be followed by a panel of Sarah Gray from Rivus, Rod Lloyd from Low Cost Vans and Shaun Stephenson from Ryder will discuss the current state of the sector, the exceptional growth in the LCV market, the pressures to decarbonise, the role of low carbon alternative fuels and what they think the next six months will bring for the industry.

BVRLA members can find out more and register for the event via the BVRLA website.
