BVRLA’s Nora Leggett takes new human resources role

The BVRLA has appointed Nora Leggett as its new Director of Human Resources.

Assuming her new role from 1st July, Leggett will be responsible for managing recruitment, internal communications, payroll and benefits. She will also maintain responsibility for the association’s Learning and Development team, which delivers a wide range of courses, qualifications and e-learning solutions that raise standards and professionalism across the BVRLA membership.

Leggett has been the BVRLA’s Director of Member Services since 2013 and has spent more than 20 years working on behalf of the vehicle rental and leasing sector, having joined the association in 1997.

Commenting on the appointment, BVRLA Chief Executive Gerry Keaney said: “In today’s challenging and uncertain times it is more important than ever that we are able to support our members and protect their interests. We can only do this effectively if the BVRLA continues to attract, recruit and develop the best staff.

Keaney added: “Nora has always been responsible for the association’s HR function, but this new job title reflects both the growth in the organisation and the importance we place on developing and supporting our workforce.”

Nora started her career as a graduate trainee with Hertz UK and gained her post-graduate qualification as a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development in 1979.
