BVRLA response to CMA's electric vehicle charging market study

The BVRLA has responded to a market study by the CMA (Competition and Markets Authority) into the electric vehicle charging market.

The invitation to comment had two themes

  • developing competition while incentivising investment
  • effective consumer interaction with the sector

Within the response the BVRLA stressed the important role its members are playing to decarbonise road transport. It highlighted that many members feel that the sector is developing much too slowly and sporadically and that issues with pricing, payment, universal access and accessibility are still key issues that need to be addressed.
