BVRLA Parliamentary reception will assess EV progress

‘Accelerating on the Road to Zero’ is the theme for the BVRLA’s Summer reception on 18 June at the Terrace Pavilion in the House of Commons.

Earlier this month the Committee on Climate Change recommended a ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars be brought forward, possibly to as early as 2030. Considering this news and the fast approaching anniversary of the government’s Road to Zero strategy, it is the ideal time to explore how the uptake of low emission vehicles can be boosted. The BVRLA’s Summer reception will focus on precisely this theme.

Attendees will hear about the latest recommendations the BVRLA is putting to government about the vital support the rental and leasing sectors need if the Road to Zero and the association’s own Plug-in-Pledge ambitions are to be met.

The event will be a great opportunity for members to speak to MPs, Peers, and officials about the how they are already supporting an increasing number of lower emission vehicles, as well as offering a perfect chance to network with others from the rental, leasing and automotive industry.
