BVRLA focus on Used BEV market

The used electric vehicle market is under the spotlight at the moment and will be the subject of both an Industry Outlook webinar later this week and a session at next month’s Residual Value & Remarketing (RVR Forum).

Thomas McLennan, BVRLA’s Head of Policy and Public Affairs said "Used BEVs are a white-hot topic at the moment. The BVRLA is collaborating across the sector to make sure members have as much information as possible to deal with the challenges that are emerging. Following on from our successful Battery Health event, the upcoming Industry Outlook webinar is the second in a series of events which should fundamentally improve member understanding of the issue.

“With a focus on emergent business models and BVRLA positioning, the webinar will be followed by the RVR Forum in June where members will get a whole sector view of used BEV developments.”

The session at BVRLA’s RVR Forum will be an exploration into the Norwegian used BEV market and how it has developed an attractive second-hand market for used BEVs. MHTech, engineering consultants from Norway, will lead the discussion.

The forum will be hosted by Polestar in Bicester, Oxfordshire on Thursday 8 June. A limited number of spaces remain for the June event. Members can take out a yearly subscription which includes two tickets to each event. More details and booking information can be found on the RVR forum page, or by emailing [email protected].
