Brexit: BVRLA Chief writes to members ahead of Brexit deadline

With nine days left before the Brexit deadline of 31 October, BVRLA Chief Executive, Gerry Keaney, has today written to members to highlight advice and resources available to prepare for no deal.

The BVRLA guidance web pages are a useful starting point for members considering how to plan for the UK’s EU exit. These pages include vital information on employees’ rights, insurance, vehicle supply and which documents customers will need to take their vehicle abroad post-31 October.

In anticipation of a potential no deal Brexit scenario the BVRLA has also produced a series of asks for the Government to protect the vehicle rental and leasing industry. These asks cover a wide variety of areas which will be affected, including vehicle tariffs, repair delays, economic disruption, common regulatory standards, and recruitment from outside the UK.

Members can read more about the Brexit advice on the guidance section of the BVRLA website.

The association’s asks for the Government in the event of no deal can also be read on the Brexit campaign section of the website.
