Working for better destination charging

Members have the chance to join the Bon VoyCharge campaign this summer, supporting the BVRLA’s push to see further development of the UK’s destination charging network.

Charging remains a major barrier for many considering an electric vehicle (EV). This is why, over summer 2025, the BVRLA, in partnership with Autotrader, ChargeUK, EVA England, UK Hospitality, UKInbound and Zapmap, is promoting the benefits of installing EV chargepoints at destinations such as hotels, airports, and attractions. Destination charging efficiently makes best use of time a vehicle will already be left idle, and the campaign will spend the summer highlighting best practices to businesses across the UK.

Members can support those efforts – while sharing their own views and experiences with destination charging – across two networking events in September.

Both events are free for BVRLA members to attend. They will bring together members, industry stakeholders and policymakers to discuss the role of destination charging in supporting uptake of electric vehicles, including the vital role it plays in driving rental demand.
