BVRLA has published a new factsheet on London’s Direct Vision Standard and the Safety Permit required for heavy goods vehicles over 12 tonnes operating in Greater London.
The permit scheme, which takes effect on 26 October 2020, was created to improve the safety of all road users, including pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.
It will be in operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The factsheet covers how to apply for a permit, as well as information on enforcement, penalties and change in ownership.
