Future of Roads Minister, Lilian Greenwood will outline the Government’s position on the fleet sector’s transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), as part of the BVRLA’s Fleets in Charge Conference this July.
The address will come at a crucial time, just weeks after the anticipated release of the Government’s industrial strategy and spending review, and in the wake of recent developments concerning ZEV mandate flexibilities.
Following Minister Greenwood, Richard Bruce, Director of Road Transport Decarbonisation at the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), will take part in a live Q&A exploring the Government’s evolving strategy and the implications for the fleet industry.
This year’s conference, themed ‘Changing Demand or Demanding Change?’ will explore the challenges and opportunities facing fleet decarbonisation. Attendees can expect sessions on:
- EV infrastructure and investment gaps
- The evolving used EV market
- The role of AI in vehicle servicing and support
- Changing customer expectations
- The workforce skills needed for the transition.
