Learning journey for contract hire

The latest BVRLA Leasing Outlook report details how contract hire will continue to be the driving force of EV fleet volume growth, with 57% of new orders accounted for by Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs).

To support this development, the BVRLA now has three training courses that will ensure your colleagues have the right skills and knowledge to keep up as the market evolves.

The comprehensive development programme’s first step begins with Your Introduction to the BVRLA and Vehicle Fleet Industry course. This session is designed to be part of an organisation’s induction programme, providing insights into the rental and leasing sector, identifying the key players, and explaining the features and benefits of the main acquisition methods for fleets and individuals. It also covers the role of the BVRLA in regulating the industry and the association’s dispute resolution service.

Once completed, the learner would then attend the Understanding Lease Accounting course. This course equips delegates with the essential financial knowledge to sell vehicle leasing to fleets with confidence. Consultative selling involves discussing the facts about the most suitable product for business customers' needs. The session covers the lease-v-buy conundrum, plus the principles of whole life costs and total cost of ownership as enablers of fact-based fleet procurement decisions.

Finally, a learner's journey is completed with the Understanding Contract Hire course, which will implement all the knowledge from the first two steps. The content ensures your learner can be more creative in setting goals for your business, able to communicate key elements with customers effectively, and competent at setting strategies on how to thrive when selling contract hire.
