Battery health and performance will be debated at the Fleets in Charge Deep Dive on Tuesday (16 May), which is taking place in central London on Chancery Lane.

Questions to be addressed at the Deep Dive - across presentations and panel sessions - include:

  • How long will an EV battery last, and what happens when it needs to be replaced?
  • Are EV batteries safe, how could safety certificates be implemented?
  • What happens to the batteries when they can no longer be used in a vehicle?
  • Will an EV be more expensive to own and operate than a traditional vehicle?

The half-day Deep Dive will include expert speakers from the Department for Transport, About: Energy, Altelium, Bosch, ClearWatt, Elysia, GeoTab and Moba.

The keynote speaker is Dr Billy Wu, Senior Lecturer at Imperial College.

The BVRLA would like to thank its event partner AutoTrader – who will provide some context on the consumer EV landscape – and the Fleets in Charge programme sponsors for 2023, Arval, Mina and The AA.
